WordCamp Montreal is a conference about the world’s most popular blogging and CMS software, WordPress. Developers, designers, and bloggers will come together for WordPress-related talks, workshops and networking.<\/p>\n

WordCamps are held across the world, wherever there are enough users of the software to self-organize. The WordCamp.org site summarizes:<\/p>\n

WordCamp is a conference that focuses on everything WordPress. WordCamps are informal, community-organized events that are put together by WordPress users like you. Everyone from casual users to core developers participate, share ideas, and get to know each other.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

History of WCMTL<\/h2>\n

WORDCAMP MONTREAL 2009: JULY\u00a011<\/h3>\n

Our first event took place\u00a0 in July 2009 at the SAT<\/a>, and was a huge success with almost\u00a0150 participants attending the two days of activity. WordCamp Montreal 2009<\/a> was organized by Sylvain Carle<\/a> and Jeremy Clarke<\/a>.<\/p>\n

WORDCAMP MONTREAL 2010: AUGUST 28-29<\/h3>\n

A year later we held our second event August 28-29, 2010 at the UQAM Coeur des Sciences, where almost\u00a0200 people came to teach and learn about WordPress. WordCamp Montreal 2010<\/a> was organized by\u00a0Shannon Smith<\/a>, Brendan Sera-Sriar<\/a> and Jeremy Clarke<\/a>,<\/p>\n

WORDCAMP MONTREAL 2011: JULY 9-10<\/h3>\n

In 2011, WordCamp Montreal again took place at UQAM, and we had almost 300 attendees.\u00a0\u00a0WordCamp Montreal 2011<\/a> was organized by\u00a0Jeremy Clarke<\/a>,\u00a0Shannon Smith<\/a>,\u00a0Brendan Sera-Shriar<\/a>, &\u00a0Carl Alexander<\/a>.<\/p>\n

WORDCAMP MONTREAL 2012:\u00a0AUGUST 18-19<\/h3>\n
